Doc Scott 2009 – Part 12
Link: Doc Scott 2009 – Part 12
Is this the end of the Doc Scott produced series? I hope not. I have part 10 permanently on my iPhone and I dare say this one will follow.
Doc Scott is quite simply a D&B legend or more accurately, an underground music pioneer going way back to 1989, standing always on the side of progression and controversy.
Please Scotty, one more mix…

Now this is interesting especially the comments about one in a lifetime experiences and music related merchandise. It’s all pretty simple stuff when you think about it – brand loyality, the diehard fans and the big nights at Matter.
Now let me think which D&B companies are already doing this… 10 points to Hospital, Ram and hopefully many more to follow to keep the scene alive.

I’ve got a terrible habit of stumbling upon mixes that I download and never get round to listening to and this one is no exception, sorry Dom & Roland. Anyway, I’ve just banged this on and Jeez, it’s one hell of a mix. Dom & Roland is a legend in my eyes and was one of the first DJ/Producers I just had to get hold of everything he’d done.
Now I can’t find the original post where I got this from on KMag (sorry guys) so I’ve got the download link from the www.dubplatedigest.net site which is awesome if you get a chance to check it out.

Well this sneaked into my podcasts the other day and I’m very excited about giving this a listen. It’s a history lesson in D&B looking at the play list so if you missed D&B of early part of the decade, take a listen to this.

I wish I could be credited with the hard work and knowledge on this one but it’s those lovely people over at KMag who have delivered the goods this time.

I’m only half way through reading this and I think it’s the most influential interview I’ve read and an essential read for anyone wanting to get into producing. I’m only a wannabe producer at the moment but I just feel so inspired after reading this. It’s also a sneaky insight into the inspiration into the tracks you thought you knew what they were about
It’s quite a long and in depth interview so grab a cuppa (it’s cold out there tonight) and have a butchers!
